RAMS Alumni

Here are some of the horses we’ve already gentled and homed!

Calamity Jane

Jane is a 14.1hh liver chestnut mare from Sand Wash Basin HMA in Colorado and a 2023 client horse.

After 2 months at RAMS, Jane went home to be a riding and driving pony.

Born into a highly documented herd and given the range name Cassia, this stunning little mare has three or more generations of her pedigree as a matter of public record. There are photos of her as a days-old foal in the wild, and now she’s living the good life on the East coast!

Jane was gentled, received multiple trims, and got her groundwork foundation at RAMS.

The gold standard

Coyote

Coyote is a 15.1hh palomino gelding from High Rock HMA on the CA/NV border and a 2023 client horse.

After 2 months at RAMS, Coyote went home to become an English riding horse.

Coyote was gentled, received multiple trims, got his groundwork foundation, and was backed in his 60 days at RAMS. When you adopt a mustang, you hope he’s a Coyote. Big, flashy, and with the kindest personality around, this guy will turn heads and stop hearts everywhere he goes.

River

River is a 14.2hh grey gelding from the Devil’s Garden HMA in California and a spring 2023 client horse.

After 3 months at RAMS, River went home to his person in Rhode Island, where he will live out his days as a western riding pony. He is currently training under saddle for an adopter who adores him.

River was gentled and got a basic groundwork foundation at RAMS. He was a little more hesitant to be domesticated, but can now be safely handled by small children.

After 3 months, River was ready to go home.

In March 2023, after 5 months at RAMS, June found her person just an hour away from the farm! She is a sassy, opinionated, super smart, and sensible mare with tons of potential. She’s going to do a little bit of everything once she’s started under saddle, and we suspect she’ll make an amazing breed ambassador!
